Real Parties: Cupcakes & Cocktails

Without further ado, here are the pictures from the Cupcakes + Cocktails event I coordinated for great friends! It was so nice to have the opportunity to dive back into the professional party planning world, even if it was just for a short time.
As always, my friend Hayley Hardcastle came up with the perfect invitation for the soiree!

Since the bride is having her wedding in November, the colors of the party reflected the rich colors of fall...burgundy, pumpkin orange, gold & chocolate brown.

A Fare Extraordinare catered the event and the food was delicious! The focus of the evening, as you can imagine, was the cupcakes + cocktails station. AFE styled the area to perfection with the help of floral designer, Events in Bloom.

Cupcakes were displayed on stacked lucite boxes.

Three signature drinks were offered that evening and each had a special name that related to the bride and the wedding. The drink names were printed on swanky paper and displayed in a gorgeous frame.

To further help the ladies decide which drink they wanted to order, we had a tray with a mock up of each beverage.

The cupcake choices were also displayed on a menu for guests to read.

Mini grilled cheese sandwiches cut out in the shapes of hearts along with tomato basil soup shots were passed around to party guests.

Since this was a cupcake party, what better favors to offer guests than cupcake mixes elegantly packaged! Guests could choose whether they wanted to take home a chocolate or champagne mix. The brown satin ribbon indicated the chocolate and the gold ribbon indicated the champagne flavor.

Thank you Kristen, Cindy and Paige for asking me to help make this a memorable event! Hopefully we can come up with another party one day soon!

Angela Francis of Bella Smile Photography documented the evening.

ADORABLE!

Pure cuteness right here! I am head over heels for this carnation snowman I spotted over at Style Me Pretty.
This would be the perfect centerpiece at your winter celebration! To recreate the snowman, all you need to buy is a bunch of white carnations, 3 different sizes of Oasis floral foam spheres, and a doll hat and scarf set. Then, just dig in your catch all drawer for a few buttons, use a carrot for the nose and two twigs for the arms. Precious!

Gorgeous Fall Yard

I love, love, love how this Dallas homeowner went all out for the fall season. Not only did they decorate the entryway, but please check out the pumpkins on the window box! I spotted this picture over at the fabulous blog, Poca Cosas.

The house looks like it is in the Highland Park area which is where my husband grew up and where some of my friends live now. Each time we visit Dallas, I always like to take a joy ride through the neighborhood to see the unique architecture and landscaping.

Happy Fall Y'all!

My favorite time of year is here! I absolutely love fall and Christmastime. The season of Christmas took on a whole new meaning last year when we welcomed our second baby boy into the world. I cannot believe he will be one so soon! But before December comes along, celebrate the wonderful month of November. Here is a pumpkin invitation my friend Hayley designed this year.

This invitation was designed for my good friend Julianna who threw a fall celebration for her son's second birthday. I love the use of celadon and copper brown instead of pumpkin orange like you would typically expect. This invitation would also be gorgeous for a Thanksgiving dinner or perhaps a party at a pumpkin patch!

Soon I will have pictures to share from this birthday party! So please stay tuned!

Halloween Treat Bags

Of course I waited until the last minute to do this! I'm looking for cute and simple treat bag ideas for my son's Mother's Day Out class and I just found these and think they are precious. I just might have to give them a try!

Now I just have to drag myself to Target or Michael's and get them made!

TuTu Party Accessory!

This very girly door wreath is PERFECT for a little girls ballerina party! My longtime friend, Amanda, has always been crafty and she just opened up her own Etsy shop!! She has a few items for sale in addition to the wreath. Knowing Amanda, she will continue to add really cute things!

Fall Centerpiece

I love this fall centerpiece. What I love even more is how easy it is to recreate. All you need is an iron lantern, silk fall leaves and miniature pumpkins which you can pick up at the grocery store. And there you have it!
