Real Parties: Party Like a Rockstar

I have another great boy party to share with you sent to me by Laurie! As I've mentioned before, I am a sucker for houndstooth, so my eye was automatically drawn to these pictures and the party details!
The vases came from the Dollar Tree and Laurie glued houndstooth ribbon to each vase and filled them with Kiss M&M's that she found at Walmart! Houndstooth wrapping paper from Hobby Lobby was used as table runners.

I love this wording!

Laurie used candy molds to make the #1's and she wrapped foam blocks in wrapping paper.

The party was filed with activities. Little party guests walked on a red carpet, decorated guitars from Michael's and there was even a tattoo shop!

A Very Chic Twilight Inspired Wedding

Ok, I'm embarrassed to admit this, but I am a newly crazed Twilight fan. In the past, I rolled my eyes when I heard stories of people reading the LONG novels in hours and standing in ridiculously long lines to see the movies. But alas, I finally saw Twilight and New Moon and I was hooked! I rushed home, borrowed book 3 and 4 and finished them in about a week. Yes, I have turned into one of those people. Anyway...when I stumbled across this gorgeous photo shoot, my jaw dropped. The details and creativity are stunning and I can't believe it was inspired by the wedding in Breaking Dawn (did I just ruin the book for someone?!). I'm so used to seeing gothic Twilight parties and this was very refreshing to see...much more my style.

You cannot see it well on this picture, but the ribbon on the bouquet reads, "so the lion fell in love with the lamb". I feel incredibly cheesy saying this, but how sweet and creative is that?!

Sweet and Saucy contributed to this gorgeous photo shoot and that is where I found the pictures. You have GOT to see their write up on the event. My words will not do it justice. Read on to learn about the details and to see a lot more eye candy which can serve for inspiration for many types of events! I love how the event planners took the iconic apple from the original cover and ran with it in a stylish way...apple place cards, hot apple cider and a painted apple on the cake.

Real Parties: A Walk on the Wild Side

This wild baby shower was hosted by my friend, Paige (see her Cupcakes & Cocktails party!) for a close friend. I love the color combination she chose...leaf green, orange & white mixed with different animal prints.
Hayley Hardastle designed the invitation and other great paper products.

Guests signed their names on this keepsake paper as they walked into Paige's home. A similar sheet was used to record gifts as the mom-to-be opened presents.

The "beverage bar" which included 3 drinks with creative names.

Guests dined on chicken satays, mozzarella penne pasta salad, spinach artichoke dip, hummus & fruit salad.

Are these petit fours not the cutest?!

Paige got crafty and created the "BABY" sign that hung on the mantle.

The colors of the candy in this candy station really pop! This is a great example of how a small and simple candy table can still make a nice impact.

Party Box Design

I was so glad when Jessica from Party Box Design got in touch with me! Browsing through her products, I can see how talented she is and that she has an eye for design. I think great boy parties are hard to come by, so I was so excited to find her take on the construction theme. I'm a sucker for houndstooth!

You may have already seen the next few pictures floating around the blogosphere. They are from a cupcake inspired baby shower that Jessica helped plan for a grandmother-to-be (love that idea!).

Be sure to check out Jessica's website and blog for more party inspiration and to learn more about her products and event planning services!
