{Real Parties} Banzhaf Construction Inc.

My friend Angela, who I used to work with and plan weddings and events with, just hosted an amazing construction birthday party for her two boys who turned 2 and 4. Welcome to the Banzhaf Bros. construction site!

I am so sad we had to miss the party, but knowing Angela, it was perfectly planned and A LOT of fun!! You might remember the creative "A is for Austin" party that took place last August. Read on for where she got many of the party goods!

{Real Parties} Barbie's Fashion World!

A pink carpet and pink velvet ropes...say no more!

My jaw truly dropped to the floor when I saw this amazing Barbie party!! Angela of Fantasy Celebrations is a fantastic party planner and I get so excited when she shares a new party with me. Houston is lucky to have her!

LOVE the feather adorned lamps!

A perfect mix of pink and black! This gorgeous tables was for the little girls' and there were several adult tables for the mommies as well.

To make the perfect plate, Angela found Barbie silhouette die-cuts. So very girly and pretty!

The party theme was Barbie's Fashion World", an artist was on hand to sketch fashion illustrations of the girls. Fabulous idea!

The sketches were not the only party activity. The girls got to play dress up in a Beauty Bar outfitted with jewels, makeup and lots of sweet scents!

AND Barbie came to visit the girls!!

If all of the above wasn't enough, each guest received an adorable pink party dress to take home with them and continue the magic!

WOW Angela...you have outdone yourself once again!! You can see many more pictures on Angela's Fantasy Celebrations Facebook page.

{Inspiration} Calling All Superheroes!

I'm STILL trying to decide which theme to go with for Nick's 4th birthday party! The firetruck theme is still in the running, but Nick's new fascination with superheroes just might win. Here are some fun finds from around the web...

This invitation by Hicks Paper Goods gives the classic theme a fun twist and I love the cake with the tride and true superhero colors.

If I go with the superhero theme, the big decision will be whether or not to go with the classic primary color combo or make up my own??! The ladies of Scissors Paper Cake style the trendiest kids parties and I looove what they did with this modern superhero party.
A personalized superhero shirt would delight each little party guest I'm sure!

Last year I ordered a custom melamine plate to coordinate with Nick's party and we use it daily. It might be fun to add another into the mix!

Posh Tot Events ALWAYS styles their events perfectly and this superhero of course did not disappoint. The plate and napkin ring combination is so cute and the use of paper lanterns sitting (instead of hanging!) on the table is a great idea!

I would love to greet guests at the door with their own superhero cape! Another alternative would be to set up a "make your own cape" station.

I have such a sweet tooth, so it is always hard for me to decide on cake, cupcakes or cookies or serve them all! The cookies from the Posh Tots event are perfect and I always love the fondant toppers from Two Sugar Babies.

What do you think?? I love the theme and you can do an incredible amount with it, but is it too generic?? I would love to hear your ideas and see your pictures if you have any!

Happy Labor Day!

The day is almost over, but I didn't want to miss telling each and ever one of you Happy Labor Day! I hope you had a relaxing time with your family and friends. We traveled to our farm and had a great time with family. The weather was actually nice for Texas in September!

{Real Parties} Little Red Riding Hood

One of my favorite things to see is when people take a vintage theme and make it magical. Genevieve from Celebrate Today did just that! She went with Little Red Riding Hood and created a perfect party scene for her daughter's fourth birthday party.

What lucky little party guests? Each girl received their own red satin cape!

I really like how Genevieve dressed up her cake stand! I'm always searching for new ideas and I love how she wrapped a small garland around the bottom. I'm also a big fab of 4 layer cakes that appear as one large layer!

How cute is this party activity?! Everyone created wolf puppets!

A fabulous and easy DIY party detail! Genevieve gathered green button chrysanthemums and placed red sewing pins in various spots.

Another shot of the birthday girl in an adorable vintage-inspired tank.

Genevieve of Celebrate Today, The Superchick Way, did a FABULOUS job with this party!! You can see many more pictures and find out the party sources on her blog!
