The Candyland birthday party put on by Hostess with the Mostess was too cute not to duplicate!  I chose the theme for my son's second birthday and a friend of mine chose it for her daughter's first.  We both LOVE sweets and wanted to take advantage of choosing the theme before our kids have their say!  Allison's party puts mine to shame.  But in my defense, I had a 4 week old baby!  =)

I knew that putting this party together would be a little difficult since I would have a newborn at home.  Instead of spending hours thinking of new ideas (I tend to plan parties months ahead...it's a curse!) I borrowed many ideas from Hostess with the Mostess.  A HUGE thank you to that wonderful site!!

A Football Extravaganza!

My friend Angela and I worked for a wedding and event planning firm before we had children. We both LOVE planning parties and often miss helping brides create their special day.  Needless to say, we went a little crazy with our firstborns milestone birthday parties.  Here are pictures of her son's football themed party which took place during the Texas/OU football weekend...a big deal if you went to either school!

Hello Blog World!

WOW!  I just discovered the fabulous world of blogging.  I have heard about it for some time now and to be quite honest, I used to make fun of it.  Well, that was before I actually tried it!  I happened to come across a party planning site that led me to a party planning blog...and I have been hooked ever since!  I spent hours following link after link to one party site after another.  I've had so much fun that I decided to start my own.  So, hello blog world!

I have a passion for parties.  I am always trying to come up with an excuse to throw a party whether it is big or small.  I love to search online for new party ideas which is how I ended up here.  Hopefully this party blog will inspire someone out there with an idea or two!
