Airplane Party Ideas

I think building a children's party around airplanes is oh so cute! Here is a roundup of my favorite airplane parties that I have seen around the web...

Jordan of Polka Dot Prints created the sweetest airplane dessert table for her son's 2nd birthday. I love the use of the puffy clouds in the background and on the table in a form of a dessert. It gives the table such a kid friendly feel.

Isn't her table precious? Visit Polka Dot Prints to learn how to make the milk cartons, white chocolate cloud treats and cookie baggage claim favors.

My next favorite airplane party is from the insanely talented Amy Atlas. Amy designed this kids table for her son's recent birthday. I love her twist on the theme! This party was called "Ready for Takeoff!"

Love, love, love this stylish table! The orange and grey color scheme is a favorite of mine and I adore the modern graphics and subtle decor used throughout the party design.

If you are having an airplane party, chances are, you are going to want to send guests a boarding pass invitation. This one from Nounces Design is perfect! I really like the map envelope paired with the invitation...which she handmade from Atlas paper!

At the party hosted by Jennifer, creator of Nounces, she served lunch in plastic containers similar to the ones given to passengers on an airplane. Details like that make a party!

Please check out the goodie bags Jennifer MADE!! She painted Cheerios boxes brown, then cut two pieces of brown paper into the shape of a suitcase and attached one to either side. To give it a little extra umph, Jennifer attached yellow strips of cardstock and travel stickers to the boxes.
My youngest loooves pointing out airplanes. I know he would love an airplane party of his own! Goodness...I have so many themes to choose from for his upcoming party!

{Fabulous Finds} Corrugated Table & Chair Set!!!

Ahhh! How CUTE is this?! And what a genius idea!
Modern Lola, a recent website find of mine, offers corrugated table and chair sets for kids! Each set comes with 1 table and six chairs and it is supposedly easy to assemble. There are two black and white options and then a pink and green version.
Of course since this is such a fantastic idea, they are currently out of stock, but they will have more in October and they are accepting pre-orders.
These are just precious and I would love to order a set or two for a party!

My OTHER Blog

Call me crazy, but I have started another blog! It's my family blog, but I plan to make it much more than that. Besides party planning and my family, my loves are interior design, baking, trying new recipes, shopping...actually, the list could go on and on. A Little Bit of Bennett will cover all that and more. Please join me if you would like!

I have to thank my friend, Carolyn, who currently lives in Austria, for the awesome blog design!! She did an amazing job and she is helping me transform the look of P is for Party! If you need a blog makeover, you would be in good hands with Carolyn.

{Real Parties} Summer Camp...Perfect For All Seasons

Photobucket

Cari from Socially Circled hosted the CUTEST "Summer Camp" party for her son Chase and his buddy, Drew! They dubbed it "Camp Four" since both boys were turning 4. I am always drawn to neutrals, so I love the color scheme and earthy feel of the party. Cari thought of every detail. The three table stations are so creative and I love the individual place settings!

The party guests participated in lots of fun activities!

Each 'camper' was given a hobo hiking sack filled with with a compass, magnifying glass and bug catching net and then they were set off on their hike to catch snakes and bugs. Plastic ones were scattered around the park!

Other activities included sack races and decorating bird houses.

Halloween Collections From Several Fabulous Bloggers

Fall is here (at least in theory!) which means Halloween is right around the corner! Kind of hard to believe?! Some of my favorite bloggers have created wonderful Halloween collections to help get your party started...

This adorable collection is from none other than Kim of The Tomkat Studio! Right now, she is offering her DIY printable collection at half price in her Etsy shop!

Next up is the Halloween collection designed by Kelly of The Party Dress & WH Hostess. I really like the candy jar labels and favor stickers she created! When you order from her website, you can choose for Kelly to put everything together for you or you can purchase the DIY printable collection.

The Halloween collection by Rebekah of A Blissful Nest is creative too! I love the addition of the spooky tree! You can find her designs in her Etsy shop, here.

The Celebration Shoppe's Harvest collection is PRECIOUS! If you do not feel like going with a Halloween theme, Kim has designed the cutest fall collection!

Now the tricky part is for you to decide which design to go with??! I would love to see any other collections you might have created and possibly share them here on the blog!!

Happy Fall & Halloween!
